Questions, answered

Which facial should I book first?

If you are unsure, start with a skin analysis. It is a close look at your skin, what it needs and a plan you can follow. It costs $50 and that amount is credited against any treatment booked on the day. From there we may suggest a hydradermabrasion facial for dull or dehydrated skin, or an extraction facial for congestion.

What does a hydradermabrasion facial do?

A hydradermabrasion facial cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates in one treatment. Gentle suction and serums lift away surface build-up while the skin is flushed with hydration. There is no downtime for most people, so it is a good choice before an event. It costs $250. A course of facials usually works better than one, and results vary from person to person.

Will a chemical peel make my skin peel?

Not always. Lighter peels often cause mild dryness or fine flaking for a few days, while stronger peels can cause more visible peeling for up to a week. We choose the strength after looking at your skin, your history and the season. Chemical peels start from $205. Daily SPF and avoiding actives for a few days afterwards are essential.

What is a peel course?

We offer two courses of three professional peels: one for uneven tone and one for congested, breakout-prone skin. Each starts from $750. Spacing the peels a few weeks apart gives your skin time to settle between sessions and tends to give a more even result than a single peel. We start with a skin analysis to check a course suits you.

What is the difference between RF microneedling and fractional resurfacing?

RF microneedling uses fine needles with radiofrequency energy to visibly refine texture, with a few days of redness. Fractional resurfacing treats small columns of skin at a time for texture and tone. Fractional CO2 is our deepest resurfacing treatment, with about a week of planned downtime. Every resurfacing treatment needs a consultation and a patch test first, and results vary from person to person.

Is resurfacing safe for olive or deeper skin?

It can be, with care. Olive and deeper skin has a higher risk of temporary darkening after heat or injury, so settings, timing and skin preparation matter. We assess your skin type, check your history of pigmentation and do a patch test before any resurfacing treatment. We usually prefer to plan deeper treatments for the cooler months, away from strong summer sun.

How much downtime should I plan for?

Expect redness for one to several days depending on the treatment. RF microneedling usually means a few pink days. Fractional CO2 needs about a week of planned downtime, with dryness and flaking while the skin renews. Book resurfacing well clear of weddings, Eid or holidays, and plan to stay out of the sun while your skin settles.
